Noggy's Second TICA show and another Final!!

Yesterday Noggy went to his second TICA show at Newbury and he was brilliant and I think he even liked it!! He certainly enjoyed shouting at the Judges while he waited to be judged. It was so funny to watch him :-)

There was another beautiful American Curl there too and he did really well to get 2 Best of Breeds and 1 Final

Noggy is a TICA Champion Alter!!

Well Noggy wasn't going to let Akiro take all the glory and he did really well at his first show, which can be a bit scary! 

He made us all really proud by acheiving one final with

Mary Lise De Landsteer - 8th Best Allbreed Alter

I cried, as he is such a character and everyone who meets him falls in love with him. Thank you to Mary Lise De Landsteer for his final and the lovely comments from the rest of the Judges, who thought he was lovely if a little bit too round!

Thank you again to Claire and Stefan for bringing such a wonderful breed to the UK and for letting Noggy join our home.

Nog Playing Outside

Nog see's hail for the first time!!

The other weekend we had hail, yes our great British summer!

Well Nog was mesmerised and so very excited, he ran from one end of the extension to the other end!! It was very funny to see :-)

Nog has had a very busy week, some of the things he has got up to is bringing me a present one of his chicks which he has for supper, he also helped himself to a chicken drumstick out of the packet, he has run around the extension jumping from sofa to table to chair to sofa again, and one of his favourite empty the litter tray all over the floor trick!

What a busy week for Noggy business!

Nog and Mojo - all worn out!!

Nog and Mojo were worn out yesterday after helping Andy lay the floor in the new extension!

When I say helping what I meant was they were in everything!! Nog tried every piece of plastic to see how it tasted and was it to his liking. He was so pleased with himself when he found a large piece of sellotape and he ran out of the room with his tail in the air :-)

Mojo loved running through the wood shavings, which got stuck in her tail and pants and then proceeded to drop it all around the house. Well done Mojo!

So they spent the afternoon recharging and Nog got a his ears washed again!

How does Nog end up with red ears????

Nog and Fudge

Fudge was all settled on the sofa and Nog joined him for a cuddle, this is happening more now as Fudge accepts our newest member of the family :-)

Last night they cuddled up together and Nog even got a wash, Fudge still isn't sure about those ears though LOL! x

Nog's Brother Egg

Nog's brother Egg is still looking for his forever home. He is a very cheeky chap and we met him when we went to collect Nog. Even though Nog has only been with us for a short time we have learnt what a super and lovely breed the American Curl is and when we met his brother Egg he was just as sweet as Nog and very playful and cuddly. Every home deserves an Egglet!

We think we are very lucky to have a Noglet in our home :-)

Nog Update

Well Nog has been here for just over 2 weeks and it seems like he has always been here. He has met my mum and dad and he definitely has a new fan! My dad thinks he is a "Great little fella"

At the moment I am trying to write this with Nog's help! Well it is his blog I suppose he wants editorial rights :-)

Nog has made a partner in mischief with Mojo, the photo below was taken on Saturday morning after a morning of fun and loads of mischief!



Nog has a squeak and when he wants something he squeaks! He also squeaks when he sees me first thing in the morning and whenever I enter a room Nog is in. It is very sweet. Nog also loves to purr, he even purrs in his sleep which is funny but a little bit odd, but then that's Nog!

On Saturday night Nog showed us how good he is at climbing curtains, which got a frown off Andy. I said "Mojo must have shown him that!" Andy wasn't convinced LOL

So Nog is settling in well and he definitely brings a bit of Nog fun to our home everyday...

Introducing Nog!

We are very happy to announce the arrival of Nog our first American Curl!

So how did Nog come to join our family. It started a couple of years ago when I first saw Claire at a show with Disney. Disney did brilliantly at the shows and I was fascinated by her sweet look and nature. Disney then had her first litter and we saw the kittens at a TICA show, I really wanted one but unfortunately it was when Kahlan was poorly and the timing just seemed wrong.

Then last year I contacted Claire about the possibility of adopting our first American Curl. I was initially hoping for a girl but then Nog came a long and his sweet face stole my heart. I contacted Claire and arranged to visit to meet Nog and the rest of the gang but I couldn't wait and I emailed Claire to see if we could adopt Nog and Claire said yes :-)

So last Saturday we went to Claire and Stefan's there we met Nog and his lovely family. We then brought Nog home and this photo was taken his first night here.



Now a week later it seems like he has always been here! He has captured my heart and for our first introduction to the American Curl breed he is a fantastic ambassador!

Nog loves to purr and he has a big purr! We are used to big purrs with the Siberians but Nog does love to show off his purr! And his character is brilliant, he loves a cuddle and to play. He has made friends with Fudge, well he headbutts Fudge and he has made friends with Mojo. They play and run around and just get up to kitten mischief!

This is one of Mojo and Nog on the sofa this morning after some play fighting, it was time for a wash and a sleep.



Nog is already showing off his intelligence as he has learnt how to make the worm toy wiggle, he puts his paw on it and pulls the tail. It is great to watch and it is definitely his favourite toy.

I am so happy to have Nog, or Noggy or Nogs or even Noglet he knows all his names. These past few months have been up and down and we have had sad news recently with the passing of Calix and Mercury. But Nog has helped in his own little way and he loves to be carried around which was one of Kahlan's favourite pastimes too.
